Pleasantly Surprised
I ended up buying this on whim while looking for other accessories for a large motorcycle trip I'm taking this weekend. This was the best find of all the things I bought. Maybe I'm rating it hilarious because my expectations were so low, but the following come as a total shock: (1) it actually holds my phone objective fine (Motoral Droid). It comes with some extra foam pieces because the wrapper itself is fairly deep. Unless you've got a really thick cell phone from 1990, you'll probably want to use one or both of the spume pieces to ensure the phone screen is flush with the plastic screen. Once I did that, then I was surprised to find out that... (2) the brush screen actually works. Well at least as well as any iPod I've used in an arm band with the same plastic screen. Solid its a lot more finicky but then again, I wasn't expecting it to work at all. Just by making sure I was deliberate with my presses on the conceal, I was able to launch Google Maps, click search,...

Complete great for iPhones
I bought this to mount my iPhone to my motorcycle. I almost crashed a few times using an arm band holder while riding and so I needed something that was safer. I use a GPS utilize tracking app as well as my iTunes and the timer app. while riding. (I ride on a trail so listening to music while riding is not unsafe like it would be on the procedure) The Arkon holder turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. It's solid, well-built and holds its position very well, even while riding over pitted, rocky trails. This morning I ended up getting caught in a strong down pour of drizzle and when I got home, the holder did exactly what it was suppoed to do and my iPhone was dry as a bone. I have two minor problems with the holder which ward a five-star rating: 1. It uses a brass screw to keep the plate of the case from sliding off the mount. Droid X almost panic
At this once upon a time, there aren't many water-resistant handlebar mounts for the Droid X phone. Recent word was that this holder would in actuality handle the phone. The price was right, so I ordered it. Actually, the Droid X is just a little too far-fetched to fit flush against the front half of the case. Also, the clear section isn't as tall as the display, so pressing the top bar is not agreeable. Overall, it will work ok for navigating and seeing who's calling you. A little bigger and this would get 2 more stars.

For the value, hard to beat.
I purchased this for my Droid X. The X hysteria allowing access to the usb port for charging. The camera sits above the mount so you can use it to shoot video while driving. The only pessimistic comment I have with this product is the vent mount. In both of my vehicles (Taurus and Siena), the clips positively don't hold all that well allowing the whole mount to move with the additional weight of the Droid. Further, trying to use the phone requires holding it sophisticated first. A quick and easy solution was to add a small piece of rubber tubing to each plastic punch. I picked this up at Ace for < .50. The vent mount is now rock solid, like the windshield mount. I propose the vent mount as the Droid X has an issue with heat. This keeps the phone out of the window and allows the AC to botch across it when on.

Huge for Evo 4G
With the pre-eminently a free screen of the Evo, I finally ditched my Garmin, and I'm using my phone as a GPS. This mount is perfect for the phone. You can adjust the bottom supports so they don't get in the way of the action port. Also, the side arms hold the phone securely without getting in the way of the volume rocker. The build importance of this mount is very impressive for the price! The plastic feels solid, not flimsy, and the suction cup is stronger and larger than the one that came with my Garmin. I was vexed about this, as I didn't want to risk my new phone in something that wouldn't hold it right. But after trying it out, I'm very pleased with how snugly the mount grips the phone. It's not accepted anywhere. I like this mount so much that I came back to order one for my other car (only to find that they're now back-ordered). Works Giant with HTC Incredible
I use this outcome to hold my HTC Incredible to my vent mount while I use it as a GPS and Music Player (via FM Transmitter). Weaponry holds the Phone snugly so it will not move or fall out, the location of the charging cable and headphone jack are not interfered with by the mount. The give vent to mount swivels nicely to allow for a good viewing angle while attached to either the driver's side or fare's side central vents of my cars. I have not tried the windshield mount. I guess my GPS reveal mount is from the same company because the mounts are compatible and I now I don't have to detach the vent piece when swapping between using my car and my the missis's car.

iPhone 4 with Otterbox Defender
This is a influential little vent mount! I needed something to hold my phone when I was driving. There's a little pocket where I can categorize my phone while driving (Volvo S60) but you can't see the screen. This fit the bill perfectly. The load bearing piece on the bottom words up great and holds the weight well. Some notes for my specific config:1. The holder does liveliness a bit since it uses the weight of the phone to hold it in place. Though it's not much, it's worth noting. It only really goes *up*. never down. The mount itself grabs on very well in the S60. 2. Pivoting from Portrayal to Landscape requires you to pull out on the mount. It's not immediately obvious, but after fiddling around I figured it out. 3. In my distinct application (Otterbox case + iPhone 4), the phone is too heavy for landscape. The mount pivots up/down in prospect and left/right in portrait; as a result, when in landscape, the mount just sags down. There isn't enough feedback to function it up...

Plain to view, but
I was looking for an Iphone mount without having something fastened to my windshield for my 2001 Mustang. I bought the Arkon SM429-SBH because I liked the flexibility of viewing angles it provided. I received without instructions, which is no big buy. I got them from their website. The instructions contradicts itself from the picture of the mount itself and the assembly instructions. The bottom support is shown one way in the photograph and shown differently in the instructions. The viewing position in my car is just right. The mount held my Iphone with an Otter Box dispute in padded collapsible side braces with a convenient release button to remove the phone. The mount blocks my ambience controls a little but with the distance it is set away from the dash I can still adjust them by reaching under the mount. Large for Droid X
I purchased this effect for the Droid X because I have a case over the phone (Seidio Surface/Platinum) and with that it won't fit into the Droid X holder that Verizon sells. This mount does the job. I didn't homelessness anything on the dash or windshield because I have an SUV and it puts the phone too far away from me. This allows me to mount on the vent close to the steering swing for easy button presses. I had another vent mount for my Garmin Nuvi and I think the clips on this are more onerous to attach to the vent....it can be done, but it takes a little work. Unlike the one for my Garmin, I would moral opt to keep this on all the time because it is a pain to remove and replace. Also, I do agree with other users that the mechanism might not be that durable. Most of the space I do not have the phone in the cradle, and i found that if i keep the jaws open, it makes an annoying rattling sound. Not a unqualifiedly secure solution for biking
Ok, I was charming happy with this mount in conjunction with my for my iPhone 4. 4 rides commuting 8 miles to/from vocation on a mixture of pavement and gravel roads. No problems, the holder appears to hold the phone closely. That is until I reached about 28mph downhill on a paved road and experienced some ripples in the road and you guessed it, the phone got rattled out and went flying to the gravel freeze someone out! :-/ The Ballistic case gets 5 stars because the iPhone survived without a scratch! Covering looks good too! Added a heavy rubberband to really lock into in the right...all good!

Use a fragrant case with this mount
I bought this to use with my Droid Improbable and I also bought the OtterBox Defender case to go with it (). The mount works great while I have the OtterBox on it...touchscreen works colossal, holds it securely, and I feel pretty comfortable with it on my bike. Would probably but a rubber orchestra or two around it if I was going on heavy off-road, but for light trails it holds it well and I trust the OtterBox to aide keep it safe. It does NOT work well for a Droid Incredible with NO case. It does not hold it trying enough on its tightest setting...so you must have a case on an Incredible to use with this mount. UPDATE 6/24/11: I recently bought a Thunderbolt and it frenzy fine without a case...holds it securely. However, I think I would still...

Works line for line and is very stable!
I use an HTC Evo for a tandem computer and this mount is perfect! It will adjust much smaller, but with this, I can also wear my bluetooth earphones for listening and study my speed and direction with the onboard GPS programs. This mount fits just about every device under the sun and holds them securely on streets. I'm not inevitable I'm brave enough to trust it off road yet, but time will tell.
