Another Grand Case by DLO
After searching dear and low for a folio style case for my new iPod Touch, I was thrilled to see that DLO was offering a nice, padded leather come what may for the Touch. I have purchased DLO cases for my iPod Nano (1st gen), and for my daughter's Sadisk Sansa e260 MP3 gambler. DLO really makes nice cases for MP3 players. This new DLO HipCase Folio for iPod Lean up against is very soft and padded. The magnet closures for the flip cover are a very nice touch. The loudly clip is built on the case and is very slim; unlike those bulky, cheap plastic clips like so many other manufacturers use. The plasic clips cut off easily and make the cases stick out from your belt far too much. The iPod Touch fits in this cause perfectly, and all of the ports and buttons line up just as they should. You don't have to take the MP3 player out of the case to charge it or for anything else. Well importance the small cost!
I must say, I abhorrence most of the hard plastic or soft gel cases they have out there for all the iPod models. For my iPod touch, in hypercritical, the only cases out there were also open to the elements, which meant that my iPod screen would either be in danger of being scratched or damaged, or I would have to put a ductile protector over the screen, which would reduce the touch sensitivity (not to mention all the damn bubbles that get caught under those things). Since the iPod lean up against came out, I've just been using the slipcase from my previous iPod, and have been looking for a case that both clearly covered the iPod, but flipped open to allow the screen to be accessed without hindrance. This occasion does both, and you could not ask for a better product. The case is soft leather, which looks and feels very sensitive and allows the flap to be bent behind the iPod without problems, and the flap is conveniently held in pad while closed with magnets. Bonny case, fits like a glove!
I bought this crate as an alternative to a phone case as they tend to attract dirt and whatnot into the corners and wanted to nurture my new T-mobile G2 phone. This case fits the phone very snugly, but not to the point it is hard to get out of it. The top of the case is almost shaped completely like the G2, so it protects all the way around. The inside lining does a great job of protecting the phone without leaving fuzz all over the shelter. As long as you don't hold the case upside down, the phone stays in. The only down side, for some it would be but I am fine with it, is the very top edge of the phone is weak. I think this is a good thing because it leaves the 3.5mm jack exposed so I can play Pandora through my stereo and still have the phone safe and sound. The leather on the outside has a very nice texture/graining and feels and looks well made. I bought the but I found a few things with the Luna that I did not like. Namely the heavy metal logo plate in the front and the metal loop ring in the back. I thought those two things detracted from the preservation provided by the Luna case. Albeit the Luna is gorgeous. So, I went ahead and got this Gaia receptacle to see if it was better. I'm glad I did. It doesn't have a metal logo plate (the logo is sewn in faux leather on the crop right hand quadrant) and the back loop doesn't have a metal ring. Not a paraphernalia fit for iPhone 4/4S
This sleeve is well made, feels tidy, and will protect your phone from scratches in a pocket or purse. But for those of you looking to buy it for an iPhone 4 or 4S and don't have a bumper/hard receptacle on your phone, be warned that it's not a snug fit. In fact, it's quite a loose fit for this phone. I don't like to cover my iPhone with a bumper or diligently case, so I use it "naked." Without such a case, if you turn this sleeve upside with the phone in it, the phone will slip truthful out, with zero resistance. And though I have not tested it with my phone, I'm pretty sure that if you dropped this sleeve with the phone in it, there's a good betide the phone will slip out before it hits the floor. If you're just looking for a sleeve to protect from scratches while it's in your hook, this will be good. But if you're looking for a tighter fit, look elsewhere.
