    Sorta very good...
    Pros: Take possession of* grip on iPhone; easy to reposition; compact and out-of-the-way. Cons: Springs providing rivet on iPhone are a little TOO stiff; jaws securing the assembly to vent are too thick...at least for Ford vents. The fix in place is a fight: the clips that are supposed to secure the assembly to the vent are extremely stiff, and the leverage stress for opening them is wrong: my hands are pretty strong, but I still had to use a screwdriver to lever the clips arguable, and once I got 'em open, I ran into another issue: the 'hooks' at the tip of the clips are significant, and didn't fit past the fins in the throw out assembly without some force. Once you get it installed, it'll hold your iPhone effectively, but it's not suited to short trips because the jump-loaded clamp* is extremely stiff and it's sort of a fight to mount or unmount the phone. Even with these brief annoyances, this is certainly the best of the vent-mounted platforms for your iPhone.

    Had this for almost 4 mo. w habitually use. Very easy to mount, and a mere perfect fit for my iphone4 w a hard shell case on it. Very permanent; no excessive shaking at all even when going over big humps/potholes on the road (if mounted on correctly). Would praise to any.

    Gets the job done
    Pros: - the hold is sturdy and the hooks extend FAR...so I'm pretty sure it'll fit whatever kind of case your phone has on it. it's also padded, so no scratching. - rotates and swivels in every which directing basically...so you got lots flexibility as to how you wanna face it. - looks pretty specious and minimalThe only drawback is that it doesn't exactly glue itself to your vent. It's not crazy sturdy - it undoubtedly moves around...especially when you rotate it from portrait to landscape, or take the phone off/on. But it also definitely STAYS ON - doesn't go about a find closing to falling off or even bobble or shake when you drive (the weight of the phone helps). Totally honestly though - not sure if it could be that much better. the car vent is generally a tricky place to attach things to...wasn't expected for something like this obviously.     Opportune build quality, stupid AUX port design
    Well I have been using this for a bit over a week now and here are my impressions: Pros: -Superlative build quality; very solid and holds my iPhone (in a Speck PixelSkin case) very sturdily. -Solicitous mounting of iPhone with swivelling dock connector and flexible/adjustable top clip. -Frenzy iPhone perfectly with my Speck PixelSkin case. But be warned - it was adjusted to its highest appropriate, so it wont fit a case larger than the PixelSkin. -GPS fix more accurate than iPhone's internal GPS. This resulted in less jerky movements and less jumping around during GPS effort usage. Cons: -GPS signal dropped out far more often than my standalone TomTom PND. This is unacceptable in a product meant to emend GPS reception that actually uses the same GPS chip as the TomTom PND I am comparing it with. -With kit mounted on windscreen the iPhone overheated and stopped working (displayed a temperature threat message and forced itself into...

    Charging emergence and horrible GPS reception
    I am one of the pioneer adopter, having bought this kit early when it was first available. I travel by car quite a lot as part of my job and I had the chance to trial this kit extensively. As the title stated, here are the major problems: 1). CHARGING When I plug my iPhone 3GS, about 3 out of 5 I'll get a communication on the iPhone saying that "This accessory is not for iPhone". I have tried every possible way to ensure that I am plugging the iPhone appropriately, which it does because the shape of the kit prevent the iPhone to be plugged in other ways, yet I still get that dreaded message and the iPhone DOES NOT Invoice. it seems that the connector is not designed well and it does not recognize the iPhone most of the time. UPDATE: Here's another id I found about the charging issue: the car kit is SUPPOSED to CHARGE your iPhone while you are using the naVigation apps (TomTom, Navigon, Magellan Roadmate) at approaching to high brightness (due to sunlight)...

    A wonderful GPS enhanced mounting solving for iPhone and iPod owners
    I received my Magellan scanty car kit finally. I have already downloaded the Magellan GPS app from the iTune store and I'm very excited about how wonderful this car kit functions. Not tried about some of the other reviewers but this Magellan car kit makes my iPhone so much better with much louder audio volume, I had to arise the volume down on the car kit because it was too loud. The Bluetooth paired up quickly and the GPS reception is so much better when the iPhone is to the point to the Magellan car kit. This is the perfect solution since my family owns 5 iPhones, mostly 3Gs and not everyone own a GPS, with this Magellan car kit, we can share the car kit between our iPhones when someone requirements to take a trip. We all use protective cases and it's great that it is not necessary to remove our phones from the protective cases when we mount the iPhone to the car kit.     Saintly product unless you have Android Incredible
    This mount looks fair and probably works great for most phones, but with my just-released Android Incredible the cradle part covers up the power jack on the phone. I could not find a way to use the phone in the cradle with the power rope, and one reason I bought the phone was for the Google navigation software that comes with it.

    Well intended
    This is a very well-meant car mount for my phone. I use it for my iPhone 4 with an otterbox impact case to mount my phone when using the GPS. A detail I would like to list is that the vice-grip has a maximum width of 3 inches and a minimum of 1 5/8 inches-I wanted to differentiate that before I bought it because I wasn't positive it would fit my particular phone's case. All adjustments can be clamped tightly. The wickedness-grip has rubber padding which holds the phone securely and ratchets in place securely, being released by an ergonomically placed handle on the back. While I didn't use it, this also comes with a plate with a sticky side that can be attached to your dashboard as a suction surface to assign the mount. Overall, this is exactly what I was looking for. I was so impressed by how well-designed it was that I thought I would leave a reassessment.

    The suction cup quota works fine. The arm is adjustable. The base swivels and extends. There is a tilt feature for phone holder. The phone holder specifically works well with an iPhone. This mount can be use with one submit to place or remove the phone. You place your phone in, you squeeze the sides together and it holds the phone securely. To release the phone there is a handle on the left side which pops the arms out and releases the phone. The bottom supports will slide apart to accommodate the commend. The arms on the side interfere with my wife's Blackberry charging cord.     EVO Can't be plugged in
    I bought this Arkon Mount last week and I absolutely like it, except for one problem. I have an EVO from Sprint, which is a fantastic phone. There is a micro USB for charging and a micro HDMI connector on the bottom of the phone. Both of the connectors are off-fore. The left rest on the Mount does not allow the micro USB charge cable to be plugged in while in the Mount. This puzzler occurs regardless of how it is mounted. This is a serious problem as the battery for the EVO does not last long, especially in GPS wise. My plan at this point is to cut off the left rest on the mount. This should still allow for the Mount to reasonably sure my EVO while allowing me to charge the phone.

    Indomitable & Flexible
    Use this on my Samsung Concern. Very easy to mount and dismount with the suction cup to the windshield. The arm is steady once positioned. the Holder is temperately to lock and unlock on the phone. Great product at a good price and a much better value than Sprint's model which doesn't have the 'vent mount' option. I will buy Arkon products in the future.

    I Bound Mount it and Use with my Phone
    I have been using this on my spring with the provided black circle since in California it is illegal to Windshield mount. Works marvy other than that you should take this mount off if you park in direct sun light when it's hot as the suction cup begins to degrade. The universal mount commonly holds my phone phone fine but sometimes it just doesn't click right and it can be a slight hassle to get out the phone. It has fallen off my fling once or twice before but that is because I left it mounted for a week or so. Ideally the best is to mount it again everytime you impecuniousness it. Overall sturdy and high quality. Arkon is the brand to get.
