Beneficial but the clips scratch the vent grills
I ratiocination this was the perfect solution for my iphone 4 especially when using it as GPS (Navigon) and mp3 player at the same time using bluetooth. The iphone often heats up and since this cradle is of interest in front of the vent it should cool off the phone. However the teeth from the two clips are very sharp and scratches the rubberized vent smokescreen. Now I'm not using the clips anymore and instead got a suction mount. The quality however is sound. It holds the phone firmly and is easy to adjust. But the casing for the phone must be removed before the phone can be installed. If you don't mind scratching the vents or your vents are not submerged by some film then this item should work for you

Works well....
Using this mount with my iPhone 4. It was easygoing to mount and for the money, I am pretty happy with it. I'm not sure it was specifically designed for the iPhone 4 because of how it hysteria, but it holds it securely and that's what I bough it for. Oh, and you can't use a case with this mount which I think should be fairly obvious but.. never recognize. :0

Comfortable fit
Comfy fit for iphone 4 only if it is without bumper or cover. Easy to install on car vent, easy to adjust the sentiment of the iphone and very secure after tightening the screw knob. I hope it has other color options to combine the interior of my car, that would be superb

Closely what I needed!
I was looking for a cigarette-mounted charging class for my LG Phoenix Android phone. This is it.This works great, and I use it to charge my phone while driving, it keeps it up in view for if/when I greet a call, and when I use my smart phone as a GPS, it holds my phone in whatever position I set it to. The cord is just the right length, and the spring-charged phone-supporting brace is strong enough to never let it slip, yet easy enough to allow for easy removal/replacement of the phone. The contend with also features a foam padding, so your phone doesn't get scratchedIt works well on my LG Phoenix (which is a pretty uncharitable Android), and also my father's EVO 4G (which is pretty big). Both phones are supported comfortably.

puts your iPhone set where you can see it
The "Amzer Swiveling Air Vent Mount for iPhone 1G, 3G, 3G S (Dark)" is pretty cool. I've purchased 3 other iPhone mounts - a window mount, a cup mount, and a cigarette lighter mount. The stew with these is that I can't see the iPhone! So I purchased this Air Vent Mount. Pros: It puts the iPhone where I can see it. The iPhone hysteria nice and snug in the brackets (you do have to take it out of the case however). The air vent mount part, though kind of rickety, is athletic enough to keep the iPhone mounted to the air vent. The "ball and socket mechanism that rotates your device for the professional viewing position" works well at locking the iPhone into place (i.e., horizontal, vertical, sideways, etc.).Cons: The 3GS doesn't fit with the case on. UPDATE: I now have a 4S with an Incipio case. The iPhone 4S DOES fit into this mount without a cover on. Goods seems to work well
It was a bounty for my neice and she seems to enjoy it. The brackets fit correct and snug. You do have to take off any covers for it to fit though, but not a problem.

Does the habit!
This charge is very useful. If your anything like me.. I loose my phone in the car all the time so, I like have a station for it. I listen to a lot of music from my i-phone and this leaves the vet open for me to change my music while driving a lot more safe and simple. I was surprised at how tight the holder held onto the phone but my phone does not fit into the holder with my i-phone for fear that b if on. Even though you have to take your case off when using it the benefit weighs out that small inconvenience. :)

Does what it says for the pirce you pay...
This indeed was a little sturdier than I thought it would be. For the price, it's definitely not bad. However, a few words of advice: First, the lighter socket is too pocket-sized for my car and if there's an adjustment on the socket part I didn't notice it. I had to use part of a torn off business card to make it fit, but it does fit musical well after that. I have a car where the 12V is mounted really high, so this was an ideal mount choice. It holds the phone nice and determined so I can really bang on it while I'm stopped at a light or parked.I don't like how the power input the mount provides fitting hangs loosely. There should be a way to attach it to the mount itself, but there isn't -- it just hangs there. I had to ziptie it to the arm of the mount itself. There is a portruding quadrilateral part on the AC output that makes you think it snaps in somewhere, but that's just the maker trolling you -- it doesn't fit anywhere.
