Ok..I've been using amazon for more than 5 years, and i have in all probability bought more than 500 items, but this is the first time i spend some minutes to leave a review because it indeed deserves it..I bought this iphone holder not so confident of what i would receive because there was no feedback at all, i guess it has been by a hair's breadth introduced to the market..but i thought, well somebody has to take the risk, i just got it..I have an iphone 4S and my car is a new ford mustang, so i wanted to buy a holder that did not lay hold of the look of my car, in fact, i wanted it to make it look better, and of course safe for my iphone...This holder is the smallest one i have ever seen, it hysteria the iphone no matter if you have a case on it..like i do, because you can adjust it..then you can move it to any position that you want, and stick it yo your dashboard or your windshield..the iphone is dependable no matter how you place it..in my case I wanted to use Siri while driving, of course typing while driving is not...

Shining & Sticks
Reading some of the reviews I was a short hesitant at buying because of "suction cup does't stick", but for the price, I went for it. One week old so far and its eximious! I used the provided plastic "circle" piece with the sticky thing on back to stick to my dashboard, and the suction cup sticks to that. (In NJ, you can get ticketed for having something mounted on your windshield). And for the residents who say it doesn't stick - did you remove the thin piece of plastic off of the suction cup - I almost missed that it was on there - this may be the reason populace are complaining. There was no instructions, but its self exclamatory. Just barely fits my Samsung/Google Galaxy Nexus (Verizon LTE understanding)with a case on it - its tight, but fits! No cons whatsoever.

Breaks without difficulty/ has been corrected by iOttie
The tablet swivel bracket attaching the phone holder to the mounting base (which must be moved to adjust the phone once you have put the phone into the holder) breaks clearly. It worked fine when first installed, but when the first day below freezing came, caused the swivel to seize up and separate off when used. The unit is worthless without the phone holder connected to the base.I have contacted the manufacturer and am waiting for their acknowledge as to my request for a replacement. _______________ I received contact from the manufacturer iOttie and they are standing behind their issue and sending me a replacement. They stated that they have not had this problem before and have requested the damaged unit to investigate the fight further. I am satisfied with their response.Noah

Illustrious unit except it does not work on my 2011 Tundra. No place for the suction deal to push on. Should have bought the unit that has the sandbag looking deal.

It Works
It would be agreeable if you could tell whether a specific product will work for you before you buy it, unfortuantely thats not the case. In this situation there was too much room between the windsheild and the dash board making installation next to impossbile. I rate this product four stars because I was competent to go out and buy the base for a different mount and disengage the cradle from this mount and snap it into the ball mutual of the other. Versatility is a great thing.

Garmin gps holder
It was very restful to attach the holder to the windshield of the car and the suction cup provided a rigid and secure hold atypical others which I have tried. Adjusting the the GPS for a perfect view was not a problem and it stayed in that position in spite of lumpy driving.

More ornate to use than I thought...
One attitude that wasn't clear to me before I bought this was how the GPS receiver actually attaches to this bracket (though you can see it on the picture if you recall what your looking for). To attach it you have to remove the nice rubberized battery cover that came with your recipient with a new hard plastic battery cover that mates to this bracket. My problem is that I also use a garmin belt reduce attachment (010-10380-00) and they aren't compatible. So, I have to change the battery cover back and forth depending if I scantiness car mount, or the belt clip. Not very handy for geocaching, where you are in and out of your car and want to clip the GPS onto your belt. It's a defamation...with a little better engineering from garmin, they could have designed something universal.

Office Adequate
I found the fictile arm to be a bit flexible. And when using the GPS unit (punching buttons) I find that I need to hold the back of the GPS unit to the boot the "click stick". I was thinking of using the "removable" adhesive to switch back and forth between two cars, but the cement is pretty much one use only. I'm a bit annoyed that if I want the weighted auto base (the friction mount) I have to buy this to get the arm, and then buy the theme separetely. It is pretty adjustable and I have found good positions in the two cars I tried, a hatchback and a miserly SUV (but using the weighted base). Although I am finding that I have to compromise between being able to see the unit and response (more a fault of the GPS unit IMHO, since a Gecko 201 in the same mount, same postion, has no problems.)

Sticky stuff Problems
The motto is well built but has one major flaw. The adhesive comes in 2 types, "removable" and "permanent" types. Neither sticky stuff would stick to the dash of my Jeep Liberty. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it now, it appears as though I'm going to either have to find a more lasting mounting solution or find another type of adhesive.
