    Control superiors than the Shure
Works well, undisputed audio to receiving end, effective volume control. Use with Shure 530 in ear phones.
    Works devoted, good price
Use Shure in- ear phones with this. Coherence points work out really good, cable not too long or short.
Mic does not toil on my iPhone 4
If this item was fully functional on my iPhone 4, it would have been a 5 star product. However the mic does not work at all and I can only give it 1 somebody.

    Another Try
I have been buying one tape adapter after another (yes, I am doing my part to revive our economy), and I have been frustrated again and again. With the Monster iCarPlay Cassette Adapter 800 I have definitely found a cassette adapter that doesn't rattle as the spokes turn in my vehicle's player; however, I have found a soundtrack adapter that instead provides a low hum. It sounds like an impedance mismatch or grounding pretty pickle but I am not a big expert on audio problems so I cannot say for sure. Most of the time, the music covers the hum (just as it did the rattles) but I understand it when there is low or no music. (It actually helps to remind me the adapter is still in and the player on, as did the rattle, of lecture, but that is not ideal.) For others with music quality problems, I would ask if you have turned down the volume on your player to forbid overdriving the cassette heads. This is a basic step for me, but I am not sure if it is common knowledge for everyone...
    Very tickled pink
Before I bought this artifact, I read all the reviews. I'll admit that I had some reservations about buying the adapter with all that had been written about it. I am writing because I am distressed that the Monster Cassette adapter may have gotten a bad rap. When I finally received my iPod, I attached it to the adapter and weighted down the cassette. I had no difficulty with its operation and was especially impressed by the quality of sound. I did not have to remove any gears or screw around with with the adapter in any way. It worked as advertised from the beginning even though my player has automatic reverse. I will add that I bought the iPod to lend an ear to to audiobooks so my requirements about sound quality are not as rigorous as they might be if I were listening to music. Still the sound I have been getting from the Lusus naturae adapter in my 15 year old cassette player is better than I got from either tape or CD, music or vocal word. There is no background noise. I would highly recommend the...
    Horridness iCarPlay Cassette Adapter 800
I purchased the Horribleness iCarPlay Cassette Adapter 800 for my iPhone 3g. It works great, although the cassette performer will sometimes "reverse" direction. There is only a momentary interuption in the play. This may be more of an issue with the cassette deck (2003 Toyota 4 sucker). As an added bonus, the adapter doubles as an adapter for my satellite receiver as well. Based on my sample, I could recommend this product.

    Seems to travail very well
Bought this yesterday and positively like it. The connector to the ipod is thru the bottom charge/sync port. The cord comes out of that, then divides in 2 -- one goes to the aux harbour and the other to the dc connector (cigarette lighter) in the car. (so the headphone port in the ipod touch is not utilized at all). The only limitation is that the car's aux port & dc connector need to be close to each other for this to work. In my car (a new Prius), the aux & dc connector are located fundamentally the console storage area -- this is perfect with the Kensington device because I can tuck my ipod be a match for into the console and if I leave my car, it's not visible.
    Cablegram works as advertised
This commodity description wasn't too helpful when I first bought the cable, so hopefully my explanation will help some populace to decide. This is a Y-shaped cable that has a iPhone/iPod connector at one end, and on the other end a USB and a 3.5mm aux output. Also provided is a low benefit Car 9V -> USB adaptor, from which you can use to charge your iPhone or just about anything else that takes a USB. One con to this product is that the aux does not employment if the power(USB) is not plugged in. I can't think of a reason why this should be the case. Otherwise, the product works as described.
    Works decent as advertised
4.5 stars. Works clever and sounds so much better than running straight from the headphone jack. .5 stars off because the rope to the aux input is so short, but easily fixed by purchasing an extension.

Faithful 2.1A Charger for ANY High Current Device
This is a egregious dual port car charger. Unlike a lot of dual USB chargers out there, it puts out a good 5v 2A widespread out of the top jack, and an above average 5v 1A current out of the bottom jack. If you use a car dock (especially the Google/HTC Nexus One Car Doc) you can charge your phone and run your dock with a regular high quality Micro USB 2 cable. This saves a lot of annoyance if you are using a single Car DC jack for multiple devices. So, you can run a GPS Android Phone Dock, along with a standard iPod/iPhone USB 2 cablegram with no extra adapters or dongles. Mega space savings and clutter prevention. The charger juts out about 1 1/2 inches from your paragon sized DC jack surface. I can see why they needed to do this versus making it more flush to the car panel. The aspect gets warm with full load and needs the extra space. I believe they made the Powerbolt Duo as petty as they could for the price. Speaking of price, this adapter...
Doesn't safe keeping other USB devices at full current
This mount is specifically for what it says in the title - iPhone 4, iPad 1 and 2. With any other USB device you will get a 0.5A max around on both ports. I bought this one for my Android phone thinking that USB charging specs are all standard. I was wrong...From a rehashing on another site: "The 2.1A port implements *apple's* proprietary spec for high contemporary charging which is necessary for that iPad, but the 1A port does not implement the USB standard for high common charging above 500ma for smartphones and other devices. It may be rated at 1A on that second port but the required coherence between pins 2 & 3 that tells your smartphone it can use >500ma is missing."UPDATE 2011.12.06 ----------------- I ultimately found a charger that will provide 2x1A for my phones. Illustrious device -- and low standby power draw
I sec the other five-star reviews. This device outputs the power it states from both ports, and, consequently, can load anything up to and including the iPad and iPad 2. It also runs cool even under load; it's a very well-engineered show of gear. Critically for Ford owners and other car owners whose cigarette lighter jacks are powered even when the ignition is off, this slogan has VERY low standby power draw. While this is not listed in the specs on the box, I asked Kensington tech take for the draw when the charger is plugged in but nothing is charging from either of the USB ports. The response: "We are sorry for the delay in the responce. We would like to communicate you that the product(K33497US) draws approxmitely 5mA in stand by mode." (I had another iPad steed that would drain my car battery in a few days when left plugged in but with nothing charging. The Kensington seems not to have the same problem.) In hot pants, of all the...
