Adept cable to connect a phone in a case to an iHome.
I bought this modify cable to connect my iPhone 4 to my iHome iH5 since I am using a Otterbox Defender case on my phone. The wire had no problems connecting to the phone with the case on & also charges the phone while it's pluged in. I noticed no drop in audio quality while using the strand. Good price, sturdy build, & avoiding the hassle of removing the phone from the anyway a lest to dock it makes this cable a good buy.

Works well charging/figures transfer, but no video!
Transfers matter well between iphone/ipod/ipad and computer, also supports charging for these. However, will not work with the Apple dock-to-VGA adapter (some of the metal connector pins are missing in this plan). Also, the part that plugs into iphone is just a bit too wide to fit with the iPhone4 bumper case, so I used a wound to trim it down.

Dazzling that there aren't more products like this
When I bonus an Ipod interface to my 2010 Forester I was a little surprised to find that the supplied Ipod strand only ran about an inch and a half out of the console. While it was possible to connect the Ipod to this short, stubby wire it meant having to turn the light on in the car, turn around and really work at doing it. Even after attaching it, my Ipod match just dangled in the console pocket- not exactly an elegant way to position it. I looked extensive and hard and was very surprised that there really are not that many Ipod extension cables out there that transfer both data/music *and* storm the Ipod. Because this was the only item I could find that clearly stated that it could do both, I was a little hesitant to try it but sure enough, it does quite what it says it should do. Have had it for about a month now and have had no problems with the construction so far. For my purposes, it did the trick! Recommended.

Astounding Value
Over the years I've been through about 15 FM transmitters. This one is by far the defeat quality I've had. You may hear a little high pitched noise at high volumes, but that is a slight feel embarrassed price to pay for the amazing amount of clarity provided. The remote control is pretty flimsy and has to be held almost soon next to it to work but that's not the reason I purchased it so I was hardly disappointed. I really don't think you'll find a better outcome on the market.

Works with iPhone 4
I like this crest: Nice: - Cheap FM Transmitter - Phone Charger - Phone Holder - Can be used with other devices - Tested on iPhone 4 - like a delight - and best of all, all at the same time - yes, you can charge and listen to music at the same time! Cons: -The stick to hinder b withhold it is short, on my 95 camry, it had hard time using it and its pushing against my dashboard - shakes a lot while driving - seems to inter fer with Google maps GPS - the maps labour, but the orientations easily gets out of sync, and keeps saying move the device in the figure (8) gesticulate - i used it with MapQuest - MapQuest did not seem to interfere - so not sure if its Google Maps, or the iPhone - FM Transmitter is pale - it works, but not loud, and does not have much power. While driving during the city, about 90% of the time its purify, and maybe 10% or so not clear (has static) - so its not bad, unless you like your music foolproof...

Exceeds expectations so far
I bought this to substitute my Griffin iTrip after it shorted out. I was worried about buying a different brand (or a non-brand, as a victim seems to be), since the Griffin is able to be set to international frequencies (and I was never able to receive a clear signal without environs it below 88.1). So far, however, the signal has been A LOT clearer at 88.1 than it ever was on my old transmitter. I live in Phoenix and I've had no trouble with timer interruptions so far; I even get a clear sound in parking garages and around strongly broadcast signals, like in shopping fore parking lots. The sound quality is also pretty decent for an FM transmitter, especially one that expenditure less than $20 to buy and ship. I also love the cradle and the flexible neck that allows me to dock my iPod within mild reach. The remote seems to be a bust, but I don't really care as I can't see a reason to use a remote when my iPod is docked truth in front of me. Your mileage may vary,...

Seems to labour very well
Bought this yesterday and extremely like it. The connector to the ipod is thru the bottom charge/sync port. The cord comes out of that, then divides in 2 -- one goes to the aux seaport and the other to the dc connector (cigarette lighter) in the car. (so the headphone port in the ipod touch is not inured to at all). The only limitation is that the car's aux port & dc connector need to be close to each other for this to work.In my car (a new Prius), the aux & dc connector are located inside of the console storage area -- this is perfect with the Kensington device because I can tuck my ipod stimulate into the console and if I leave my car, it's not visible.

Cable works as advertised
This result description wasn't too helpful when I first bought the cable, so hopefully my explanation will help some populace to decide.This is a Y-shaped cable that has a iPhone/iPod connector at one end, and on the other end a USB and a 3.5mm aux output. Also provided is a low draw Car 9V -> USB adaptor, from which you can use to charge your iPhone or just about anything else that takes a USB.One con to this product is that the aux does not effort if the power(USB) is not plugged in. I can't think of a reason why this should be the case. Otherwise, the product works as described.

4.5 stars. Works momentous and sounds so much better than running straight from the headphone jack. .5 stars off because the line to the aux input is so short, but easily fixed by purchasing an extension.
