Belkin Bluetooth Car Hands-Free Kit for Apple iPod touch, iPhone, Blackberry and Android Smartphones
Details
DescriptionSatisfaction in the ultimate in-car solution for making calls and listening to music with a smartphone through your stereo system. Talk hands-liberated, listen to audio files stored on your phone, or even stream Internet radio at the touch of a button. Calls and music are routed through the car stereo for first-rate sound over your own speaker system.Customer ReviewsDefinitely What I wantedI very recently bought this item after having a lot of trouble finding something that fit my needs. I wanted a bluetooth adapter for calls and music from my Machine based phone that would output to the aux on my car stereo, and could be moved between cars. This item consists of a cigarette adapter with a USB haven(for charging the phone), and two wires. One is wired to a big glowing button that can end calls, start music, etc and contains the microphone. The other wire is the audio yield to the stereo. The item does everything I want it to. The only downside is that the button is magnetic, and they provide a winning strip to attach the button to your dash. I do not have a good flat surface on my car to mount it, so I hung it with a whack from one of the air vents. But that is more a reflection on my car design than the item. First run - this thing is awesome. This scrutinize is based upon my first day's experience using the Belkin with an iPhone 4S and Siri. I wanted to be able to have my iPhone link to my car stereo for hands-free phone calls and iTunes. I tried the Motorola Freeway, which looked eximious in the advertisements (one feature is that it automatically connects with your phone when you get in the car), but in real life it was a big disappointment...mainly because it played via FM timer through a separate portable speaker unit that clips to the visor, rather than playing through my car stereo. Since returning the Freeway, I've been hoping something like this Belkin would come around c regard along. With the overwhelmingly positive reviews, I couldn't wait to get one of these. I installed it in the car this afternoon. As others have noted, it couldn't be easier; it only took minutes, and in seconds it paired with my phone. Once you've unambiguous where to mount the microphone/activation button, plugged in the power (to your cigarette... Works Proficient - Very Nice Product First, let me say, this is a tickled pink ending to a long story. I tried multiple solutions and this one worked the best for me. The BlueTooth audio (stereo) from our iPhones is exceptional! The audio for phone calls is not great but works fine, especially for hands free use.My first attempt was using a radiogram solution that plugs into the bottom of the iPhone using the 25-pin connector. The cable split into two where one side went to a DC power adapter and the other side went to the AUX input on the GM plant stereo (HHR SS). This was a slick solution but the description for the product left out one detail - you can't use it for hands-furlough phone calls. Apparently Apple does not pass telephone audio through the 25 pin socket. I then tried the Griffin BlueTooth Aux for iPhone which was very decidedly rated on the Apple site but mediocre on Amazon. This product sounded great and worked very well for hands-release conversations but had problems reconnecting with our iPhones...
Belkin Bluetooth Car Hands-Free Kit for Apple iPhone, iPod, Blackberry and Android Smartphones

DescriptionI indigence to play my music through my car stereo and answer phones call via the built-in bluetooth in my phone."Customer ReviewsSo At hand, but 2 Major Shortfalls. I bet V2 will be perfectThis machinery is really close to being a great product. The small adapter with a USB port is great, and the pick button/mic operation is a clean and attractive design. This works for playing music from your phone via a bluetooth joining without any wired connections, and it works as a handsfree device as a relatively cheap option to works-installed bluetooth in your car. The main reason I bought this was to act as a handsfree bluetooth device so I could talk/attend on my phone through my car speakers when a call came in. Sound quality is acceptable, echo cancellation works, but there does not seem to be any other outcry suppression. So, if you are driving on a highway, placement of the microphone/button is critical. The first major shortfall is that it does not autoconnect-- you prerequisite to press the button so your phone connects. That means I need to press the button every time I start my car. That may not seem like a big transaction, but autoconnect on bluetooth... Available device - as long as your receiver has an aux input on the front This is one of the easiest low-spirited-tooth gadgets to use, and one of the handiest. Unlike most other hands-free add-ons, this one does NOT use an FM transmitter to show over your car stereo- it uses a 2.5mm jack (mini-headphone size - same as an iPod.) This of class means that your receiver has to have an available jack to plug into. Assuming your vehicle is so equipped, then this is perhaps the best hands-free add on you could find. One large button controls it all (It also houses the microphone.) There's a overlay that gets stuck to your dash - the dash side is foam adhesive tape, the other grabs the handle with a magnet. At one end of the cable is that button/mic combination - this attaches to the dash. At the other end is a standard cigarette lighter genre plug. Stick this in the auto's outlet (I guess they are no longer called lighters.) This end also has the off that sticks into your sound system's aux jack. That's it. Since it's blue-tooth, your phone can be in... Significant Product, Really shines with an iPhone My car has a 12V casket and an AUX input inside the center console. I have an iPhone 3GS and had been using a 1st gen iPod Touch to take up music through the AUX input. I wanted to consolidate devices, by using my phone to play music, and also be talented to make phone calls 'nearly' hands-free. All while using A2DP (over bluetooth). I like to take it for granted that this is one of Steve Job's strong points. In researching solutions, there weren't many. Parrot devices were dear, and would require a separate visor mounted box. Most devices also connected through FM transmitters. There were only two options which answered my particular pain point. Enter the Aircast Auto. The device was at a mild evaluate point, and seemed to have all the functionality I required. The product was extremely intuitive to set up. I was able to have music playing through Bluetooth in minutes. Will the A2DP manners provide good quality music? YES! The sound is nearly as crisp as a CD (The 6.1...
Belkin F8Z492-P Bluetooth Music Receiver
Details
DescriptionBelkin F8Z492-PBluetooth Music RecipientCustomer ReviewsSome Disassembly RequiredThis trade mark has great audio quality and terrible range (not what is claimed), but if you've already bought it you're in luck! There is a quick modification that can return this device to the advertised range. Modification Instructions (you'll need a small boring head screwdriver and a hot glue gun): Pop the top off of it with the screwdriver starting at the ports. Pull out the circuit advisers aboard and you'll see a large piece of metal. This metal is entirely unnecessary and serves only to satisfy customers who innately caress that heavier is more valuable. The piece of metal is held in place with double sided video, so just pop it out. Put the circuit board back in place (it should sort of snap in). Put hot glue around the edge of the courtyard and put the top back in place. Now this device conforms to all the specifications that Belkin specifies. I hope this helps everyone out! I'm currently frustrating to resolve this with Belkin's... Spacious Quality, Terrible Range I've presume from a number of reviews that have stated this receiver produced poor sound quality. Let's clarify b tidy up that up right now: This little guy sounds great! The fidelity is more than acceptable for 98% of people who will use it. I have a duo of friends who are audiophiles that griped a little bit but said they would have no problem listening to music through this on a flat basis. But my speaker system cost me about $1000 though and theirs cost about $6-10,000. If you're more like me then you'll like the distinction of this device. If you're more like them, go for the Sonos and drop the extra cash. But generally speaking, delegate me, this sound quality is great! HOWEVER!!! I mainly purchased this so I could stream music from my Nexus One (Robot phone) through my speakers in the living room while I was in the kitchen cooking (where I spend most of my time). I do not be in a big house and there is line of sight between the stove and the TV - probably a 20 foot... Car Adapter for piece I'm mignonne happy with this device although it the transmission is sensitive. I wanted to use it in my vehicle as well without having to plug the disposition into a power inverter. I already had a Belkin USB lighter adapter, so I went to the local gadget store (The Start) and bought an iGo USB charging cable and an iGo Power tip that matched the Belkin bluetooth receiver. It worked wonderful but will cost you about $20 for the cable and cable power tip adapter, as well as a USB lighter adapter if you don't already have one. The iGo power tip I bought was Samsung A740,A840,A920,SCP-7050,SCP3100 Together: [...] Standard USB output is the 5 volts (+/- .25v) the Belkin requires. I was told that the Belkin will take the amps it requests, up to the usb limit of .500 and the Belkin only uses .180 amps So far it's worked great and the device seems delicate, but anyone else who wants to try this is taking their own chances...I am not responsible for any...

Keywords: Bluetooth music wireless receiver Bluetooth stereo A2DP wireless music AVRCP.Form: PORTABLE AUDIO/CELLULARCustomer ReviewsSimilarity of BluBridge 3.5mm Mini-Jack Rx VS. Belkin Bluetooth RecieverI purchased both the Belkin Bluetooth Reciever and the BluBridge Recipient from two different locations and was going to return the one that I liked the least. So here is a very quick comparison. In the testing I also had one of my friends give his judgement as well. Here is what we both thought: Belkin Bluetooth Reciever Sound Quality: Amazing/Excellent 10/10- sounds a moment ago as good if not better than standard wired 3.5mm audio connection Range: 8/10 Theatre sides of sight maybe 20-25ft, although I hear that this also depends on your transmitter, I was using Lenovo s10-3t netbook integrated bluetooth and Iphone 3GS integrated bluetooth as horse's mouth. Connectability Ease: 10/10, once you have paired it, it stays plugged in to the wall next to your stereo. Sample: I turned off my Lenovo... Almost unmitigated Set up : HTC EVO 4G in Car. Adapted to this device to feed my stereo AUX input to avoid having to connect a 3.5mm jack to my EVO everytime I got into the car Secure Quality : 5/5. Did some tests with this and a direct connection (with a friend connecting either one way or the other while I had my eyes closed) and I couldn't blab about the difference. Initial Pairing with Phone : 5/5 Very easy as the passcode is 0000, which the phone always tries as a non-performance code, so I didn't even have to type it in. Connection and Reconnection : 2/5 This is the biggest let down. Once the phone and the device bow to contact (ie if you get out of the car to go into a shop, etc) they do not automatically reconnect. Instead you have to press the button on the unit, and also chew out tattle on the EVO to reconnect. Manageable, but not as slick as my Parrot car kit, which reconnects automatically with no inputs from me. Device Contemplate : 3/5 Would have been nicer if the 2 wires you... Classic, Inexpensive and Effective This isn't the prettiest creation, but for the price it works surprisingly well. It is very useful for eliminating the clutter of cords in the car, and it is great for haunt use as well since it allows you to use your A2DP-compatible MP3 player or phone (iPhone, for instance) as an audio source without actually plugging it in to the stereo, and it can be adapted to for stored tunes as well as internet radio etc. It could also be used to give your favorite pair of headphones wireless skill so that you could transmit music from your computer without actually being connected to it. The device itself is pretty small - slightly less than 2" protracted, 3/4" wide and 1/2" thick, or by comparison about the size of an AA battery, but a little wider. It has precisely one button, a power port and one connector for the audio-out. The button has LEDs that flash red or blue depending on the treatment of the device, and the flashing can be somewhat distracting. The unit is battery powered, rated to about... |
