Works on my Lenovo Laptop!
I have a Plantronics headset that has two plugs, one for headset and one for microphone. My Lenovo thinkpad W510 has a jack that supports headphones with microphone. This adapter plugs into that unrealistic jack, and my headphone plugs connect to the adapter, resulting in a usable headset without having to use the USB adapter that came with the headset, that lacks linux drivers. The only upswing that I can think of is a 90-degree plug, so the wire isn't in the way of my mouse on the right side of the computer.

Works with MacBook Pro as well
I've good switched laptops from a Dell XPS to a Macbook Pro, and, lo and behold, the MacBook only has a single socket for audio, rather than the two of the Dell. So my headphones asset mic won't work since it has two jacks, one for output and the other for input. This adapter solves the problem: two female sockets (colored meetly) merging into one jack. Plugging in the headset to the adapter and the adapter into the MacBook works honest fine. You hear in stereo (just listened to one of those mid-60s funky mixes from the Beatles where John or Paul will yodel into your right ear) and the mic works perfectly for recording, Skype, and the like. Looks well made, etc; no quibbles.

Colossal adapter to use a headset with mic on my Droid X
Commodity is what it is. It has quality snap in design to make sure connection are snug and tight. Works the way i hankering to. Music, incoming ringtone, and calls all come through headset when it is connected to my Droid X. Bounty is higher then I wouldve liked, because I also need to buy another one for 2.5mm jacks, which is another $15 dollars... All-embracing good quality, and does what it needs to do. Satisfied customer and will buy the 2.5mm adapter for hooking my headset into carriable phone and older cell phones.

AUUUUGH!!! After hours of rattling through website after website, wisdom the difference between a converter and an adapter, having a crash course in watts and volts and hertz and computers and plaits dryers and coming to the brink of insanity because, it seems, there isn't a website in existence that gives enough information about these garnishes to learn what a 4-second encounter with the actual item in its package in a brick and mortar store would recount you (for instance: CAN I STICK MY COMPUTER PLUG INTO THE DAMN THING?!), I found this beauty. It DOES profession on 3-pronged (grounded) plugs, and everywhere
I've habituated to this adaptor to run my laptop in China, France, Italy, England, and Ireland. Although it's made of plastic and feels a crumb fragile, it's really quite hardy and it's worked like a charm in every location. I've purchased several as gifts and always been treated as a protagonist afterwards. One popular (and funny) one-star review on here claims that the adaptor doesn't work with grounded plugs. That's 100% retrogress. It works with them in a hotel, it works with them in a motel. It worked with them in France, and when I used it to iron my pants. (Well to obstruct in my iron, anyway.) I've never used it on a boat, but it helped my computer write a note. Okay so I'm not as funny as he is. But this point really works.

So Confined, but 2 Major Shortfalls. I bet V2 will be perfect
This disposition is really close to being a great product. The small adapter with a USB port is great, and the fix button/mic operation is a clean and attractive design. This works for playing music from your phone via a bluetooth association contact without any wired connections, and it works as a handsfree device as a relatively cheap option to plant-installed bluetooth in your car. The main reason I bought this was to act as a handsfree bluetooth device so I could talk/pay attention to on my phone through my car speakers when a call came in. Sound quality is acceptable, echo cancellation works, but there does not seem to be any other blasting suppression. So, if you are driving on a highway, placement of the microphone/button is critical. The first major shortfall is that it does not autoconnect-- you need to upon the button so your phone connects. That means I need to press the button every time I start my car. That may not seem like a big behave, but autoconnect on bluetooth...

Proficient device - as long as your receiver has an aux input on the front
This is one of the easiest filthy-tooth gadgets to use, and one of the handiest. Unlike most other hands-free add-ons, this one does NOT use an FM transmitter to transmission over your car stereo- it uses a 2.5mm jack (mini-headphone size - same as an iPod.) This of indubitably means that your receiver has to have an available jack to plug into. Assuming your vehicle is so equipped, then this is indubitably the best hands-free add on you could find. One large button controls it all (It also houses the microphone.) There's a platter that gets stuck to your dash - the dash side is foam adhesive tape, the other grabs the knob with a magnet. At one end of the cable is that button/mic combination - this attaches to the dash. At the other end is a standard cigarette lighter stylishness plug. Stick this in the auto's outlet (I guess they are no longer called lighters.) This end also has the cavendish that sticks into your sound system's aux jack. That's it. Vast Product, Really shines with an iPhone
My car has a 12V casket and an AUX input inside the center console. I have an iPhone 3GS and had been using a 1st gen iPod Touch to bet music through the AUX input. I wanted to consolidate devices, by using my phone to play music, and also be skilful to make phone calls 'nearly' hands-free. All while using A2DP (over bluetooth). I like to infer that this is one of Steve Job's strong points. In researching solutions, there weren't many. Parrot devices were priceless, and would require a separate visor mounted box. Most devices also connected through FM transmitters. There were only two options which answered my precise pain point. Enter the Aircast Auto. The device was at a mild rate point, and seemed to have all the functionality I required. The product was extremely intuitive to set up. I was able to have music playing through Bluetooth in minutes. I stony to go all in with the NetTalk DUO. I was tired of paying outrages landline bills. I really like the actuality that you can plug it directly into a router. I wouldn't want to keep a computer on all the time just to receive phone call like you'd have to do with a MagicJack. Once I got the DUO hooked up to our router and registered the legend pleasure with NetTalk, everything has been satisfactory. There has been an occasional glitch, but for the price you pay, I will deal with it. Glitches: (1) arriving calls don't always connect properly...the caller can't hear the receiver answer. The second try seems to always labour properly. (2) some times there is latency during a call...but this is not as bad as some cell phone calls I've had. My wife doesn't like the in reality that you have to dial all 11 digits to make a call. Someone else has mentioned this in a review...I say, really, how hard is it to insert in 4 extra digits? In larger cities, you're dialing 10 digits anyway...

Awful, Simply Awesome
I am almost always not one to review a product, but I had to for this one. It is simply awesome. It was a simple plug and play installation for me, and you can't conquer the price. I was on a local voip company before and this little unit outperforms there service for 1/10 the reward. $30 a year can't be beat for the features. One thing to keep in mind is to visit their forums. They have a inventory of routers that works well with this unit and a list of those that don't. Do research first, and you shouldn't have any issues.

Outstanding Product - I just purchased another,
I'm a best engineer in the communications industry and found Nettalk to be the best US based VOIP provider. I have familiarity in and setting up and using Vonage, Pack8 along with multiple VOIP providers. I purchased Nettalk over 3 months ago and acclimatized it for 2 months in the US and now a month in Australia at my second home. The cost of the hardware is exactly where it should be priced. It is selfish, compact and very easy to tuck away somewhere. The call quality over a cable modem in the US or DSL modem in Australia didn't alternate. The quality is slightly better than that of a mobile phone. Some people find that using 10 digit dialing is a ungovernable. I didn't find it an issue. In most larger cities within the US with 2 or more area codes you need to use 10 figure dialing. Nettalk is simple and easy to use with no need for a computer to constantly run like MJ. The hareware is very economical unlike ooma. The unit will run anywhere from 110-240V. It was very easy to setup letting me...
