Garmin's app is alarming as said by other reviewers. I tried using it with MapMyRun and it is not compatible, in fact its not compatible with any other app in the AppStore (except Garmin's). Buying the Wahoo ant+ adapter now for more compatibility with other apps.
    Zealous Product
Worked as advertised. I have hardened it mostly with my heart rate monitor and foot pod which are all Garmin brand. I downloaded the Garmin fit app and like the fact that when out doors it uses my Iphone's gps. I also like the reality that I no longer have a separate upload step...all the data are stored on my phone and online...like I did with my Garmin 405. I place of safety't tried it with my bike's speed and cadence sensors yet but do not expect any problems. My only suggestion is that they allow for a way in the app to calibrate the foot pod. I have a short stride and the app seems to over estimate my distance run by about 10%
    Unerring for indoor CycleOps Trainer
Acclimatized with road bike and CycleOps indoor trainer and the Garmin speed and cadence transmitter, the Digifit iPhone App works huge!

    Able charger and holder
I had seen this portion in my friend's car and really liked it. I got it for my BMW 3 series. Initially it seemed that the cigarette lighter socket was too alongside to the gear shift and that the bracket would not be able to fit in. But this unit has a couple of swivel options and I was skilled to configure it in such a way that it faced away from the gear box. The other reviewer mentioned that his unit does not deferral in the socket. There is a wheel that can be adjusted so that the device stays in place. My unit has not moved once since I connected it to my lighter socket. I have been on rough roads where the car was shaking, but the unit stayed put. All in all I am very pleased with this portion and would recommend it.
    Does the job...
I saw this the other day and soup it was a fantastic idea... I picked it up earlier today and put it in... With a few adjustments it's working skilful.I see a one or two have made an issue of it coming out of the socket. There is a dial on the plug, turn it clockwise, and it will expand the metal bands, and shore up put. I turned it while it was not plugged in, turned the knob until it wouldn't go in the lighter socket, backed it off a stint and put it in, then gave about a quarter turn to snug it better. My only real issue with it thus far is how low it sits. It's rugged for me to hear my phone when it rings, I had it placed higher on the dash prior to this device, so I would notice it ringing... Drivers, I put this in an 06 Century Excellent. ( See Photo ) I haven't had an issue with putting the truck in reverse, which I thought I might after I put it in, but it's out of the way. I have noticed, poignant back to the bunk, my knee hits it, so I will have to take...
    a usable tool
I found this detail here, which is much cheaper than the ones in other places. I got a good deal. It's a very useful tool. It does not fit all the vehicles due to the dispose of car's cigarette charger.

    Notable heart rate monitor
I have habituated to this with my Garmin Forerunner 305, Forerunner 50, and Forerunner 405cx. Just wet it with saliva or salt water before you start, and it accurately and easily tracks your heart rate. The strap that attaches it to your case is easily adjustable and easily removable. Unlike other products, my heart rate does not "leap around" 10 or 20 beats. The battery lasts a good amount of time and is easily replaceable. This is the overwhelm heart rate monitor that I have used, and I prefer it to Polar.
Garmin guts rate monitor for Edge 305
Works as advertised, no problems. This is a replacement of my first one that the seal (o-nimbus type) in the battery compartment failed, causing the battery to corrode due to moisture leaking. Then it never worked again. Be thorough changing batteries not to damage the seal.
Works utterly with my Forerunner 405 - just wet the contacts and you're set
(Please note: the other alcohol's negative review for this item is not accurate. The photo pictured is accurate for the Premium HRM, Outcome Number 010-10997-02. See below for update to original review.) ORIGINAL REVIEW: I tested out my SW compadre's Premium Heart Rate Monitor (HRM) on the trail this weekend and was extremely impressed and ordered mine yesterday. (My hat is off to Amazon - this is a more safely a improved deal than dealer's pricing.) The premium HRM is an excellent accessory to my Forerunner 405, which I initially purchased without a HRM, and the further data set will be a big help to me when charting my progress and seeing gains over the same terrain over time, not to divulge a decent "zone" training aid when road cycling. A VERY IMPORTANT ITEM OF NOTE that residents tend to forget/ignore when using these HRMs is that you need to wet the contacts for an accurate reading. You can use dampen, or simply rub some spit on in a pinch, but I would...

Overcome Griffin FM transmitter to date
Griffin has made a ton of these scarcely FM transmitters for various generations of iPod, and this is the best one to date. It is still not perfect, though. Using a FM transmitter is the method of last haunt. If your car has a tape deck, use a cassette adapter! The very newest car stereos have Bluetooth or even a line-in jack, even elevate surpass. Save yourself a lot of frustration by using a direct connection, if possible. If you're considering a FM transmitter for competent in use, perhaps to connect to your stereo, don't. You'll be much happier with a real docking station. That said, Griffin has made 3 tremendous improvements over their previous FM transmitters: 1) Plugs into the dock connector! No more volume hassles! The medicate connector has a constant line-out volume level, and isn't affected by the volume dial setting of your iPod. 2) Instant on when car started, and auto-pause of iPod when car stopped. Other Griffin adapters had the licentious...
*** Update *** how to get the Finest results with this!
I right-minded got this a in Nov 2008. I will tell you the three secrets to getting the best results. First, over the years I have purchased a Jumbo number of these type devices and they all sucked. Only the iTrip (both the version with the iPod connector and the one with the guide headphone jack) have this secret that makes them the BEST. Secret #1) because these devices are minimal in power, make sure the transmitter part is close to the radio. Secret #2) Unless you necessary stereo, use the LX mode. Secret #3 ... and this is the biggie ... switch to International Modus operandi. Here's how. Before you buy, go to your car and make sure you can set your radio to 87.9 frequency or lower. If you can, they you can use this UNused setting. No US air station is allowed to transmit on this frequency. If you can set your car radio to this, then BUY either the product on this page or the other Griffin iTrip (with the paragon headphone connector). I have both, and they BOTH use the SAME...
    So so for the type
This is one of three Griffin iTrip adapters I have, it is doubtlessly the most convenient to use. The FCC requirements on these things limit the transmit power to something that is barely able to reach the car ghetto-blaster, but if you don't set this one to the higher power mode you'll be lucky to hear anything at all. I find more variation between vehicles than you might expect, I tourism quite a bit and have used this in rental cars all over the US, Canada and the UK. It is especially useful that this can tune by 0.1MHz intervals which helps find a abandoned frequency in other countries (where these may be illegal, as they are in the UK). Sound quality is usually OK, but if you find the noise level increasing you are very likely conflicting with a local FM station and it's time to retune. The cassette interfaces provide much cleaner audio, but with more wires and sometimes with insensible noise. This is in my travel kit now and I don't think there is a reasonable alternative.

How can I connect my Garmin GPS to my car stereo so it interrupts ...

No, but you can entertainment MP3 files through the car stereo from the Garmin Nuvi if you use a copy adapter. Use a soundtrack adapter (they as per usual secure with CD players) and shoplift it up through the headphone jack and to your CD contender so you can perceive the Garmin through the car’s stereo.
