    Works on my Lenovo Laptop!
I have a Plantronics headset that has two plugs, one for headset and one for microphone. My Lenovo thinkpad W510 has a jack that supports headphones with microphone. This adapter plugs into that elaborate jack, and my headphone plugs connect to the adapter, resulting in a usable headset without having to use the USB adapter that came with the headset, that lacks linux drivers. The only convalescence that I can think of is a 90-degree plug, so the wire isn't in the way of my mouse on the right side of the computer.
Works with MacBook Pro as well
I've legitimate switched laptops from a Dell XPS to a Macbook Pro, and, lo and behold, the MacBook only has a single socket for audio, rather than the two of the Dell. So my headset plus mic won't work since it has two jacks, one for output and the other for input. This adapter solves the problem: two womanly sockets (colored appropriately) merging into one jack. Plugging in the headset to the adapter and the adapter into the MacBook works well-founded fine. You hear in stereo (just listened to one of those mid-60s funky mixes from the Beatles where John or Paul will tell into your right ear) and the mic works perfectly for recording, Skype, and the like. Looks well made, etc; no quibbles.
Noteworthy adapter to use a headset with mic on my Droid X
Merchandise is what it is. It has quality snap in design to make sure connection are snug and tight. Works the way i lack to. Music, incoming ringtone, and calls all come through headset when it is connected to my Droid X. Amount is higher then I wouldve liked, because I also need to buy another one for 2.5mm jacks, which is another $15 dollars... All-inclusive good quality, and does what it needs to do. Satisfied customer and will buy the 2.5mm adapter for hooking my headset into vest-pocket phone and older cell phones.

Considerable 2.1A Charger for ANY High Current Device
This is a marvellous dual port car charger. Unlike a lot of dual USB chargers out there, it puts out a good 5v 2A ongoing out of the top jack, and an above average 5v 1A current out of the bottom jack. If you use a car dock (especially the Google/HTC Nexus One Car Change) you can charge your phone and run your dock with a regular high quality Micro USB 2 cable. This saves a lot of pain in the arse if you are using a single Car DC jack for multiple devices. So, you can run a GPS Android Phone Dock, along with a standard iPod/iPhone USB 2 radio with no extra adapters or dongles. Mega space savings and clutter prevention. The charger juts out about 1 1/2 inches from your measure sized DC jack surface. I can see why they needed to do this versus making it more flush to the car panel. The matter gets warm with full load and needs the extra space. I believe they made the Powerbolt Duo as little as they could for the price. Speaking of price, this adapter...
Doesn't name other USB devices at full current
This mount is specifically for what it says in the title - iPhone 4, iPad 1 and 2. With any other USB device you will get a 0.5A max known on both ports. I bought this one for my Android phone thinking that USB charging specs are all standard. I was wrong...From a look at on another site: "The 2.1A port implements *apple's* proprietary spec for high known charging which is necessary for that iPad, but the 1A port does not implement the USB standard for high bruited about charging above 500ma for smartphones and other devices. It may be rated at 1A on that second port but the required coherence between pins 2 & 3 that tells your smartphone it can use >500ma is missing."UPDATE 2011.12.06 ----------------- I for ever found a charger that will provide 2x1A for my phones. Adroit device -- and low standby power draw
I bat of an eye the other five-star reviews. This device outputs the power it states from both ports, and, consequently, can wardship anything up to and including the iPad and iPad 2. It also runs cool even under load; it's a very well-engineered sherd of gear. Critically for Ford owners and other car owners whose cigarette lighter jacks are powered even when the ignition is off, this gambit has VERY low standby power draw. While this is not listed in the specs on the box, I asked Kensington tech assistance for the draw when the charger is plugged in but nothing is charging from either of the USB ports. The response: "We are sorry for the delay in the responce. We would like to notify you that the product(K33497US) draws approxmitely 5mA in stand by mode." (I had another iPad steed that would drain my car battery in a few days when left plugged in but with nothing charging. The Kensington seems not to have the same problem.) In shortened, of all the...

So Privy, but 2 Major Shortfalls. I bet V2 will be perfect
This cadency mark is really close to being a great product. The small adapter with a USB port is great, and the take button/mic operation is a clean and attractive design. This works for playing music from your phone via a bluetooth friend at court without any wired connections, and it works as a handsfree device as a relatively cheap option to works-installed bluetooth in your car. The main reason I bought this was to act as a handsfree bluetooth device so I could talk/prick up one's ears on my phone through my car speakers when a call came in. Sound quality is acceptable, echo cancellation works, but there does not seem to be any other cacophony suppression. So, if you are driving on a highway, placement of the microphone/button is critical. The first major shortfall is that it does not autoconnect-- you lack to press the button so your phone connects. That means I need to press the button every time I start my car. That may not seem like a big dole out, but autoconnect on bluetooth...
Nearby device - as long as your receiver has an aux input on the front
This is one of the easiest downhearted-tooth gadgets to use, and one of the handiest. Unlike most other hands-free add-ons, this one does NOT use an FM transmitter to air over your car stereo- it uses a 2.5mm jack (mini-headphone size - same as an iPod.) This of positively means that your receiver has to have an available jack to plug into. Assuming your vehicle is so equipped, then this is all things considered the best hands-free add on you could find. One large button controls it all (It also houses the microphone.) There's a plate that gets stuck to your dash - the spoil side is foam adhesive tape, the other grabs the button with a magnet. At one end of the cable is that button/mic league - this attaches to the dash. At the other end is a standard cigarette lighter style plug. Stick this in the sports car's outlet (I guess they are no longer called lighters.) This end also has the plug that sticks into your sound system's aux jack. That's it. Since it's unhappy-tooth, your phone can be in...
Colossal Product, Really shines with an iPhone
My car has a 12V reliquary and an AUX input inside the center console. I have an iPhone 3GS and had been using a 1st gen iPod Touch to exploit music through the AUX input. I wanted to consolidate devices, by using my phone to play music, and also be skilled to make phone calls 'nearly' hands-free. All while using A2DP (over bluetooth). I like to conjecture that this is one of Steve Job's strong points. In researching solutions, there weren't many. Parrot devices were costly, and would require a separate visor mounted box. Most devices also connected through FM transmitters. There were only two options which answered my identified with pain point. Enter the Aircast Auto. The device was at a mild worth point, and seemed to have all the functionality I required. The product was extremely intuitive to set up. I was able to have music playing through Bluetooth in minutes. Will the A2DP form provide good quality music? YES! The sound is nearly as crisp as a CD (The 6.1...

    It's a conquering hero!
We needed an adapter for our little DVD (kids broke the cord). None of the "universal" adapters fit our ports, so we began to look at this affable. Many are very low output and do not provide enough continuous output to run a device, only charge it. Very happy with this product. Major continuous output for our needs. Gets a little warm after 4 hours of use (but so does every other seal, including the player). Have not tried using the USB port at the same time yet. Takes a barely getting used to the bulk of it when plugging in, but green indicator light lets you differentiate when you've got good contact. Would recommend in a heartbeat!
    Grand product!!!!
i bought this so i could cautious of dvds on my laptop in the car on long trips and it powers my acer aspire 5738z through the undistorted charger. USB is great for charging ipods
So far so unspoilt, although order of plugging things in might matter
Bought this 3-21-11 and have acclimated to it once briefly to verify it works. The first time I plugged the inverter into the cigarette lighter I already had my laptop steed plugged into the inverter and the other end of the charger plugged into the laptop before doing this. That blew the 20 amp unite in my cigarette lighter. So after putting in another fuse I decided to plug just the inverter in first, then the laptop stallion, then the laptop. That worked fine and I tried that several times and it worked fine each time (Dell D600 laptop and stallion and laptop which probably draws no more than 90Watts on average) Possible order matters as the laptop mare appears to have a big capacitor in it and possibly trying to charge that up and power the laptop plugged into the mount draws to much current all at once initially. Also verified the inverter would drive a 60watt light tuber as well. Will report back after our vacations this year as to how well it has worked...
