The smallest, lightest, and best bib Blackberry around.
HI All. I have inured to a blackberry for over 10 years now...give or take. I have always been impressed by the devices they have created in the past and the current line of devices. Since I like to be on the bleeding head start of tech, I just had to get a 8900. Most of you know by now what the new feature sets are of blackberries that are out today. The reckless, the storm, and now this one The JAVELIN. I wont go into too much detail but I will give you my quick run down. The Javelin is perhaps the thinnest, lightest, small footprint blackberry that I have ever adapted to. It sports a great look and the feel to the hands is awesome. It is after all the curve II. Screen resemblance to the bold is that this unit has a higher resolution then the bold but a smaller physical screen. The higher determination definitely adds some clarity to the screen...but it should be duly noted that the BOLD's screen is also superb. Yes I own both. The Javelin...
Superb PDA, messager, and best of all a great phone
Pros: Response and call quality!, interface, beautiful screen, syncs with Mac, keyboard, terrific sound on media actor, decent camera, and intuitive user interface. Cons: Battery life could be larger, can be slow at times with multiple applications open, the Mac syncing software from Blackberry is finicky though it at the end of the day works, no 3G network support :( Summary: This phone is wonderful. My last two smartphones were Windows Expressive and this Blackberry completely blows them out of the water. The interface is wonderful and the OS is really reliable. I put battery subsistence under cons, though it gets about forty hours with one charge on heavy text, email, internet, and phone use, so this is really a minor complaint. All in all I love this device. Compared to my girlfriend's prior gen Blackberry, this little gadget is a beauty and a top performer. Keyboard is about the same, but the 8900 wins in just about every other head: build, reception,...
    My 8900
I bought my 8900 in February when it first came out and I am so enchanted with it. Never before have I been so happy with a phone because it can do so much. I used to carry a palm and a cell.... no longer! The 8900 has everything I have occasion for: Internet, instant email, text messages, phone, games, camera, documents, etc, etc, it is wonderful! Very over the moon and still excited about it.

Fantastic Wide Distributors customer service is horrible!!!
To all Amazon customers. I really and honestly advise you all to be careful of who is the merchant of the products you are buying from. I ordered a Blackberry Tour 9630 for my fiancee. First when I tidiness the phone, they sent me the wrong endorsed phone. I needed a Sprint PCS phone, they send her a Verizon phone. After she mailed the phone back, by overnite, to Times a deliver Wide Distributors, she had to wait 6 days to recieve the correct phone. While my fiancee has the correctly endorsed phone, she goes to the neighbourhood Sprint PCS store and finds out that the phone she has CAN NOT be activated. The phone came up as LOST or STOLEN! While my fiancee called Smashing Wide, she was trying to get ahold of customer service and the young lady hung up on her. This band should be shut down and banned from any further business with any group, company, or business alike. I hope I have helped many other customers of Amazon with this tragedy.
    Not really unlocked
As other reviewers say, this is not really as pictured, as it is a Verizon phone. That said, it works pretty well -- with one major disagree with: where I am (in Tanzania) the data portion is not unlocked. The handset will not enable data access at all. The cel phone cast rep here (Airtel)told me they have had this problem with many Verizon BBerries, and despite their request, RIM has not come back with a elucidation for unlocking the phones for data. And now Amazon won't let me return it as the 30 days are up. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. This is the first duration I am very unhappy with my Amazon purchase.
    Implausible
I unqualifiedly advice all to make sure the company you are going to give your money to, will be a good reliable one. My fiancee who is currently deployed to Iraq sent me a Blackberry voyage 9630 as a gift. I was excited until the phone I recieved was the wrong carrier. I am with Sprint they sent a Verizon phone. Person service rep ANITA when I contacted them let me know she would email a ups label. It has been a week I am still waiting for the email! I knew mastery sent the phone out to them over night. Today I recieved the correct Sprint Blackberry. To my surprise when I go to stir is they can't do it because the phone was reported LOST or STOLEN!!!!! I was irrate I called World Off the target while at the store, all John could do is give me his email so I could email him!!! I called customer service aka Anita, I was fuck up so yes I raised my voice, and so did she!!! Can you imagine, your fiancee half a world away sends a give and not a cheap one, everything goes wrong, then you are yelled back...

    Indescructable!
As a piercing school student, my phone has been handled by many people, and i have dropped it almost every day. I have even dropped it in a gutter full of tap water on a rainy day, and with out a problem, it turned back on perfectly in a couple days. This phone is the best one i have had. Besides the surprising durability, it is easy to text, because the keyboard layout is the same as a computer keyboard. There are many features that are very helpful. i would propose this phone to anyone looking for durability, and a good phone for the price that they pay.
    My partner's BB
The result arrived on time, even though we bought a new phone, the one we received was used and works perfectly handsome, it came just in a ziplock bag without the original box, instruction manual, installation CD. We live abroad, so we decided to keep it.

Matchless product. Was a gift for our daughter and she's extremely happy with it. As all blackberry products, high quality and at a unexcessive good price. Just the shipment should be slightly faster.

Got a pinchbeck battery, a refurbished phone and fake earphones
I always wanted to buy a Blackberry phone, however what I received from Amazon was a refurbished phone. I ordered for a make new phone, but the phone that I received was in used condition (it had dust around the ear piece, and I also saw a few pics clicked by someone). I was more unhappy when I saw that the phone battery was fake (it was pure black in color, a Chinese make, and had no Blackberry token or name on it). Also the headphones that I got were fake. I have finally returned back the product for a complete refund.
    Euphemistic pre-owned - Not New
This segment is not a Brand New. The Box doesn't have a Blackberry Tag, almost detroyed box. I can't believe from Amazon.LLC
