    Customer Reviews

GPS + Robot make for a good combination
The Garminfone is an smashing GPS unit and a "good" smart phone in one. If you are looking for a high end android device, this might not be the most qualified phone for you because it runs version 1.6 of Android. If you need both a GPS and smart phone this is value a serious look. Pros: Corporate email works well There is plenty of storage accommodation for downloading apps If you happen to be out of cell signal range the GPS will continue to work Comes with car stallion and vehicle mount The screen size is just right @ 3.5" Cons: Cannot customize the where it hurts screen other than the sidebar Does not have 3.5mm headphone jack
A commendable 2nd gen device in a sea of 3rd gens.
After my G1 bricked a 2nd values bright and early, I went on a small journey to review some T-Mobile phone replacements. The Garminfone and MyTouch Glide 3G are the two I've chosen, and this is what I've found about the Garminfone after two weeks. First, it's light, much lighter than a G1 by feel and likely due to the absence of a sawbones keyboard. Asus and Garmin have done a splendid job designing a pretty phone, and it looks terrific. The man Friday thing I'd notice is that the Garmin-designed interface is targeting casual or non-technical users, so it didn't resonate with me. It's proper a point to consider: you can download ADW Launcher and ditch the Garmin home screen and UI for the most part, and gain a fairly powerful launcher in the process. Third, Android 1.6 with 2.1 features is nice but not a sustainable finding out for the phone long-term. I know why Garmin went the way they did: they were challenged to integrate their own legacy GPS software and mapping...
Absurd phone for those in need of a GPS
I've had this phone for about a week now and relatively honestly, I love it. It's not as advanced as some of the other Android OS phones on the market, but it definitely gets the job done. It has it's own user interface that is unbelievably easy to navigate and runs off of the old Android OS 1.6. The main reason for my purchase of this phone was I needed a attitude alone GPS to navigate around the Baltimore/DC area and was getting tired of my Blackberry 8900. The other big thing that got me on-embark on was the fact that if I ever felt the need to upgrade my phone again this unit works as a stand alone GPS without the neediness for a sim card! The prospect of always having a GPS after a $450 purchase made it an easy buy for me. I read quite a few reviews on this phone and everyone seemed to be impressed with how well the GPS worked, so I figured I'd give it a try. So far I've habituated to it three times and I can tell you, it's pretty darn good. The phone also comes with separate dwelling AND car chargers, I mention...

    Amazon Video on Demand

Amazon Video on Demand offers over 40,000 film and TV titles that you can watch on the go using your Nokia 5800 XpressMusic mobile phone, and set-up is trusting. You'll first need to download the Amazon Video on Demand video player (which may also be called the Amazon "Unbox" Thespian; not compatible with Mac or Linux computers).

The Amazon Video on Demand player can download two types of videos. To economize space on your computer's hard drive, the Amazon Video Player will only download the larger video rank for watching in the Player. You will need to also download the smaller portable file in order to convey your video to your 5800 XpressMusic. You can only transfer a portable version of a video if you've previously downloaded the full video to your computer using the Amazon Video Virtuoso.

Note that you will not be able to transfer Rental Videos to your Nokia 5800 XpressMusic--only purchased videos can be transferred. For undivided instructions, see this Amazon Help article.

    Data d fabric phone..keep reading.
OK..to start, I gotta say that the Redeem shipping from Amazon SUCKS. So, if you want good shipping, dont use the FREE shipping that Amazon offers. Why? Tracking is horrific, tracking history is completely inaccurate. (I used the nokia N82 before) IF YOU REALLY WANT TO BUY THE CELLPHONE, Study THIS REVIEW. I THINK IT WILL HELP A LOT. IT IS LONG, I KNOW. Moving on, the cellphone is good for the cost. Come on, where will you get a 300$ cellphone that has all the functions that this one has? It is insane: 3.2 camera, touchscreen, more customizable than iphone, extrinsic memory, etc etc. Regarding the touchscreen...I think it is personal taste.. I never used the iphone, and I suppose that this touchscreen it is VERY responsive. AFTER buying this phone and getting used to it, I used a friend's Itouch and I gotta say that my nokia 5800 is the champion. But as I said, it is personal taste. Still, it is a very responsible touchscreen (no matter you say that it is a...
    Richest Phone on Market
I had owned diversified phones in the past and Nokia is the best on any comparison, for the Features available on this phone, had Apple had all these features it will fetch 10 times more, most people don't even know it has extra camera on the front for video Calls along with the 3.2 MP on the back, Video is far advantage and there were no sluggish performance as far as I had used for more than a month, unlike iPhone this phone can run multiple applications at same then which is like multitasking in PC, so I can play music and browse websites at same time and switch to GPS , fulfil watch over a call and type an SMS.. And it goes on...all at same time, iPhone cannot do more than one at a time, we get millions of free software, games, themes etc., distinct from Apple App store, no need to pay more and more. Best feature, no MP3 conversion required, if you have lot of MP3 files on spirituous disk just drag and drop in few seconds, we can play, phone comes with 8GB of SD Membership card, can upgrade to 16 GB, that's more than...
    A most adroitly kept secret?
While most populace clamor for Blackberries or iPhones or the latest Androids, I found myself eager to get back to the first brand that I ever used: Nokia. I won't lie - while I find the features of today's stylish phones finally starting to live up to the hype, I am just unwilling to pay 100 dollars a month for all the maintenance and contract craziness that comes with it. The average iPhone, for example, can cost over 3 thousand bucks over 2 years. I can't countenance locked-down, over priced products that fail to really create compelling value for users that pay for the absolute package. Many companies, in their quest to make a buck off us, prohibit certain features or limit usability in ways that I always find frustrating. An instance? 10 Dollars a month to use the Nuron's GPS feature through T-Mobile - when in fact you can and should be able to use it for unrestrained. My old Motorola wouldn't so much as let me copy 1 inferior quality, .3mp photo on my desktop without text charges, or picture texting...

    Works with Samsung Galaxy Nexus
I am very happy with the versatility of this product. I use a standard GPS at home, but when I'm traveling, this portable holder will come in at for use in rental cars with my Samsung Galaxy Nexus acting as the GPS. I've tested it around town, and it works enormous. There's even an opening that allows me to connect the phone's power/cigarette lighter adapter.
    Warmly Adjustable and Well Built!
I recently purchased an HTC Rezound smartphone and keep it in an Otterbox Defender casing continuously. Suffice to say, this makes for a phone that is too wide and too heavy to be supported by vent mount cubicle phone holders (been there done that). This dashboard mount unit is VERY flexible. There is an adjustment for side to side, up and down, brightness and tilt. I can easily fit my phone into it, and the bean bag mount (similar to a Garmin friction mount in use, but much heavier) seem to stay put on the dash. The construction build seems solid. My only complaint is minor; the bean bag mount should be a bit less uncalled-for (lighter and smaller, similar to the Garmin friction mount.) A well-constructed product for those with "bulky phones". As far as using it for a GPS holder, if you have a Garmin, see it through with their own friction mount, which is superb (and cheaper). Lastly, the dashboard mount concept is prodigious if you use your smartphone as a GPS-substitute, because of the multitude of...
    stalwart build
I have only just received iKross mount and thus cannot comment on its long-term durability. But the first impressions are sheer. The base is heavy and flexible. It should fit a variety of dashboards, even the sloped ones. The mount did not plane under relatively fast acceleration and braking. The assembly is easy and intuitive; all parts bespoke perfectly; no rattle. The part that holds the phone is adjustable; it easily accommodated my Galaxy S2. I would advisable this product to others.

    Spacious for What it Is
I like this phone so far. It's correct for calling and texting which is all I do. My Motorola Karma died on me the other day with no warning so I had to purchase a phone out of rip off. This was the cheapest phone I could find that had a QWERTY keypad AND had pretty good reviews on all the websites I checked on. The contrary reviews I read were mostly about things I don't use (web browser, etc.) I prefer my old phone but the Slate is still a in effect good phone. It's very lightweight without feeling cheap, the keypad is easy to use and phone calls are legible. All in all a good purchase.
    Irrefutable Basic Phone
I purchased this phone as a replacement; it is a enormous basic phone with full qwerty keypad. The menu is straightforward and easy to understand, the social I would rate fairly high, since I also have a blackberry 8900 and this phone had reception (could make and away with calls) in places where I had none on the blackberry. Don't expect tons of features because it doesn't have them but perfect for a pre-teen/minor or someone that wants a full keypad but doesn't want the confusing menus of a smartphone.
    Attractive thorough Simple Phone!
As an proprietress of the Pantech Link cellular phone for over a year. The Pantech Link is a small and smooth cell phone, which in my opinion, is a great option for someone who heavily texts and is looking for a understandable phone. The phone has many positive attributes which contribute to the desirableness of the phone, but there are also a few negative aspects that the phone includes. In my perception, the Pantech Link model has many factors that contribute to the appeal of the phone. Some positive aspects that the phone includes is the mobile life, inexpensive price tag, raised keyboard, the overall simplicity, camera, the longevity of use, and how everyday/light the phone feels in your hand or pocket. These positive aspects of the phone gross it perfect for a perspective buyer looking for a phone that is simple to use and whom are tired of the heavier well-read phones that tend to break within a year. I would recommend that if you primarily text, this is a great choice for you, as the...
